From about 2004 -2014, I was fascinated with vintage photos.  They capture a fleeting moment in time, which then disappears forever, particularly with family photos, but even with those drawn from external sources, they capture a poignant sense of the past in paint is a challenge that appealed to me.  Adding color to the sepia or black & white tones of the vintage photos was one of the most enjoyable aspects of this series of work.  I have not returned to this genre for awhile.  Perhaps it will appeal to me again.  In the meantime, these were the results.
